LITTER PICKING & invasive species
We are keen that we, and our guests, don't add to the problems of our rivers, indeed, that we work to solve them, and also that our visitors should enjoy a litter-free visit. We all have a part to play. Please kindly remove and take home any litter that you see. Litter picker grab sticks are provided on site. Plastic and pollution is the biggest danger to our rivers, fish, countryside, and wildlife so if you're prioritising your impact, come back with all the bits of plastic you see - the fish in our rivers will thank you for it. As will generations to come.
If you are keen to help further, please do pull any himalayan balsam that you see, in order to help maintain the indigenous cover on on our river banks, and prevent future erosion (with associated soil polution etc)
To read more about removing litter from the Wye, please see the Wye & Usk Foundation website, and the enormous initiative locally to clear the river system of litter (and other pollutants) - domestic and agricultural.
Thank you
